African Pan-Parliament President Roger Nkodo Dang has described the African summit in Nouakchott as “the historic summit”.

The parliamentary official said in a press statement this morning in Nouakchott that the choice of Nouakchott to host an African summit dedicated to combating corruption and bribery was a “good option”, stressing at the same time that the Nouakchott summit “will make sound decisions because Mauritania is a respected country that has proved its ability to win its war against Corruption”.

The Pan-African Parliament President praised the good organization, congratulating the Mauritanian authorities on the great efforts made to make the summit a howling success.

The Pan-African Parliament, based in South Africa, is one of the advisory bodies of the African Union, which was established in 2004 and in which Mauritania is represented with five MPs.
