Home > News > The PAGGW Council of Ministers submits its recommendations for the next summit in Nouakchott

The Council of Ministers of the Pan African Agency for the Great Green Wall (PAGGW) concluded its meeting, preparing for the 4th Ordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of Member States, today at the Conference Palace.
The Council has submitted a program full of activities and decisions to be approved by the leaders of the countries. These activities and decisions are mainly related to the acceleration of the payment of financial contributions directed to the agency in order to carry out the role entrusted to it and the development of a clear strategy for mobilizing funds and building the headquarters of the organization in Nouakchott, as well as exchange on the most effective ways to implement the initiative.
They also include the appointment of a new Executive Secretary, raising the ceiling of Member States’ contributions and the Agency’s communication strategy, in addition to other issues and topics.
